Last week, the festival de la cite (lausanne) and Montreux Jazz festival has begun. Last Friday after dinner at home, we went to the town for a walk and “feel” the atmostphere. It was packed with people, food and drinks stalls. Most interestingly, there is plenty of free concerts/performances for us to enjoy!
On Saturday afternoon, we took a train to Montreux for the Jazz festival. This festival run from 3rd till 18th of July. There are groups/bands from Switzerland as well as from other countries. Some concerts are free and some are not. For us, we are happy to go to the free one only. Besides the allocated concerts, there were also some street performances (even though they are not Jazz) and they were not bad too!
We found a Japanese food stalls – alth0ugh I don’t think they were authentic Japanese food and none of the chef is a Japanese.
Here is a group from USA! The tenor saxophone and trumpet were amazing!
After a few hours walk, it was time to sit down. So, we sat down in a temporary Nestle Cafe next to the lake, relaxingly enjoy a glass of cool drink and movenpick ice-cream.
By far my favorite Jazz Festival.
