Lolly

On 13 March 2002, a few puppies were borned, a combination of Pomeranian and Japanese Chin. We were given one and we named her Lolly. The existence of Lolly has become the fruit of happiness in our home, filled with laughter and more laughter. When lolly was little, she was already quite chubby, with a very black-coloured mouth.

As Lolly grew bigger, her hair grew longer too. Her mouth was still very black in colour which we think was attractive and unique. I remember once an uncle thought Lolly was covered with a black-coloured mouth guide as she has been naughty! Lolly has become an adorable pretty bitch. My mum loves her as like her own “child” and she started to make her clothes :) to keep her warm especially during the winter.

Lolly has her own toys. She especially like to play with things that she can bite on with her sharp teeth! But thank God that she didn’t cause any destruction at home! Once Leo gave me a set of soft toys -sesame street that he collected from eating Macdonald’s happy meal, Lolly spotted them and since then, it was hers! Among all the toys, the one that she liked the most is the white little sea lion. She kept it till present and looked after it very well. Sometimes, if we washed the sea lion and hang it to dry in the garage, Lolly would feel sad and would eagerly wait to get it back. There were times too when Lolly took her sea lion outside for a sunbath during a good day! How adorable!

As time goes by, Lolly has also grown with longer and lighter-coloured hairs, and longer body. Her mouth’s colour was also starting to fade. Since she has grown taller, she could jump higher and higher and finally could jump up onto our bed by herself. Our bed has also become her bed and our pillow has become her pillow. Sometimes, she would even take over it and she sleeps like a person! Lolly is also a good model for photograhing. She always has the right pose for it.

Lolly Potrait

One of Lolly’s favourite food is carrot! Yes, it is carrot. She has to have one after dinner everyday. Sometimes, she uses her feet to hold the carrot so that she can chew on it, and sometimes she wants us to hold the carrot for her! Spoilt!

Lolly also enjoys car ride. She wants to follow everywhere we go. Often before we even notice it, she has already jumped into the car as soon as we open the door. If you don’t let her go with you, she would cry. Sometimes, if she is not satisfy with the ride, she would become very grumpy and refuse to get off the car even though we try to drag her out. Spoilt!

Lolly has learnt a lot from us and often we think she is like a human. When she is happy, she smile; and when she is not, her eyebrows go down. In addition to that, she seems to understand our feeling too. I remember the time when mum was lying on the bed sick, Lolly quietly slept next to mum everyday until she was better. Another time when I was very upset, the best comfort I got was having Lolly next to me. “Dog is human’s best friend” and this is very true.

Lolly has also learnt a few tricksĀ  including shaking hands (both left and right), up and sit, etc. One very funny and amazing thing she can do is to sit like us, i.e. sit with her bottom! And this very special act has become her way to get what she wants. Another unbelievable thing I ever saw was because of Lolly’s desire to reach her snack from Leo’s hand, she actually WALK a few steps with her two back legs standing! I would not believe it if I didn’t see it with my eyes!
