Church service

On Saturday, there was a scientific conference of chinese + celebration of Chinese New year organized by the Chinese students society in the University of Lausanne. Gordon was first approached if he could arrange some sort of entertainment for the celebration and then it was decided that it would be good if we could go to perform a couple of Christian Songs on behalf of the Chinese church of Lausanne. Even though we were not able to do much there but most of the Chinese may not have heard of Jesus before. Singing a couple of Christian songs could at least let them have a chance to know there is Jesus Christ. We sang songs related to Love as we wish to bring Jesus’ love to them! I was surprise the applause were actually quite encouraging!
On Sunday, we thank God for using us in His church. We are happy not because we have a place in the church committee, but for the chance to serve Him. We have burden for this church and wish that we could continue to serve in this church. We pray that God will show us the sign if that is His will. I must say we were very lucky to live in New Zealand where there is numerous number of established Chinese church. Here, we can truely feel the need and their enthusiasm in serving God really touched us.
Valentine’s Day

I decided to make a big dinner for Doris on Valentine’s day. We spent our morning at home and headed to the supermarkets in the afternoon to purchase the ingredients for the dinner.
Drink – Sparkling Litchi juice
Entree – Foie Gras, Cavier on toast, green salad
Main – Paella!!
We finished the dinner with a cup of Camomile tea with honey
