Monday – As usual, went to work.
Tuesday – Had dinner with Evelyn and Emily. Then, we had a meeting discussing about the coming children camp. It finished around 9:30pm. However, we didn’t go to bed until 12 midnight (regreted, haha).
Wednesday – Leo attended the google geeks night. So, I went home and have instant noodles for dinner. Surprisingly, Leo came back earlier than expected and I cooked instant noodles for him (with surimi, sprout, beef meat ball and ham), haha! I was hoping to do some preparation for the children camp but ended up tidying the house.
Thursday – Got off work earlier and went back to North Shore, cooked and had dinner there with family. I was gonna take bus to the city at 7pm to meet Leo as we have a band practice @ 7:30pm. But I was so lazy and thankfully my sister dropped me there instead. It was a long practice and we got home around 11pm.
Friday – Squash day! Leo also joined us for squash. He was not bad..haha.
Saturday – A busy day! Went back to North Shore, spent 1 hr doing Christina’s hair and make up as she was going to a wedding. (In our eyes, dressing up for a wedding is a way to respect the couple and the event). Then, we went to Birkenhead to get craft materials for the kids camp, did some grocery shopping for my family. We bought a huge watermelon for 4 dollars. After we got back, I was busy cooking chicken rice while Leo was working on his project. At 4:40pm, we left to pick up kat at city and went to visit mum. We were going to Latern festival afterward but it was cancelled due to the strong wind. So, instead we picked up Christina from uni and dropped them back to North Shore. We got back to the shore around 7:30/8:00pm and were very hungry by then. We had the chicken rice and the water melon. We couldn’t stay there any longer as we need to prepare for the praise & worship the next day. So, we left around 9pm back to New Lynn (west).
Sunday – When we thought we could sleep in on Sunday morning, I got a text from Veronica. Her car has broken down on the motorway. So, we made a few calls to arrange her car to be towed away. We rushed out from home, met up with her, went to the garage, dropped her back to the city to join Christina and Kat, we rushed back home again. It was already 11:30am and we were suppose to be at church by 12 for the P&W practice. I sent a text to Chris to inform him that we would be late. We were so hungry as we didn’t have any breakfast. So, Leo cooked Udons while I was getting changed. We managed to get to the church around 12:20pm and helped to set up for the practice.
After church, we went to the gym as usual and met up with Kat. Then, we went back home to get some rest and had shower before we headed out for a family dinner. We went to Nishiki again and this time Dad is paying, haha! We orderd a lot of food. We had Edamame, takoyaki, beef tataki, hot pot, chicken miso cultlet, salmon and avocado rolls, sashimi, rice, tofu, egg plant, etc. It was a very satisfying dinner! Yummy! But I think we need to do more exercise to get rid of the extra body fat..haha!

Again we had a busy weekend. I was supposed to go play squash with Doris and James on Friday after work, but I ended up chatting with my colleagues. There were lots of things happening. I think when Kevin (our chief operating manager) comes back there will be another major change.
Influenced by the latest TVB drama which talks about Japanese cusine, we have decided to make sushi for lunch. So after the usual church and gym we went to Foodtown and bought everything we need for making sushi. It is amazing that Doris actually managed to cook a big dinner and then started to make sushi all by herself. I wanted to help but I decided to wash the plates instead.
That suddenly reminds me that Hannah asked me to bring her sushi the ‘next time’ I make them. I can’t imagine that 4 years has gone so quickly! At that time I was living in Chatswood but now I am in Auckland. Sorry I can’t send sushi to HK :p

It was the first time I played squash with James after a whole year break. It was intense but great! We both realized that we are lack of exercise and getting older haha! We had a lot of fun and looking forward to the coming Friday.
Saturday was a busy but enjoyable day. Leo had a course (audio visual…) to attend which started from 9:30am till 3:30pm. And he enjoyed the course very much. Leo dropped me to the city before he went to the course so that I could take a bus back to my north shore home. After I arrived at the constellation bus station, Christina came to pick me up and we went straight to Glenfield mall as i needed to get things for the children camp coming up. We did a rush shopping and went home. At home, Veronica and Kat were busy dressing up and putting make up on for Steve and Rita’s wedding at 12:30noon. Since Veronica was one of the ushers, she has to be there early. Christina and I decided at last minute that we would go so that Kat didn’t need to go so early with Veronica. Hence, we ended up busy making ourselves pretty. We had a lot of fun! haha!
At night, Leo and I went to Nishiki (Japanese restaurant) for our belated valentine’s dinner. We had beef tataki, salmon and avocado roll, nigiri, egg plant, etc. We both enjoyed the food and the time together very much. It was a great night.
On Sunday, we did a very quick grocery shopping in the morning (as our fridge was empty) before going to church. We arrived at church before 12noon for the praise & worhsip rehearsal. Leo was asked to sing solo of the song he wrote for the camp earlier. Others can’t hear my voice as it was covered by Leo! haha!
After church, we went to gym and had a good workout! In the evening, Leo was doing something that he hates i.e. mow the lawn and I was tidying up the house and preparing dinner. We were very unhappy about the neighbour (the bossy lady). Leo saw rotten newspapers falling off from someone else letter box and got dragged to the lady’s drive way unintentionally. The lady obviously not happy and decided to blame on us and stuck the papers into our letter box! How rude and annoying! We are actively looking for place to move and the main reason is we don’t want to live with such neighbour.

This is the second Valentine’s Day after we have married. However, because it is a Thursday, we still needed to go to work during the day. But we started our day with romantic e-cards, titled with our secret nickname :p
We arrived home at 6:15pm as usual, and Doris is so amazing that she can prepare dinner in 20 minutes with nice chicken wings. We ate a lot (it was so yummy that I had an extra bowl of rice, haha) and were both too full :p We left home at 7:15pm heading church. As we have decided to have a proper dine out on Saturday instead, we spent our Valentine’s day evening at church, rehearsing for the coming Sunday’s worship session.
Although everything was in a rush, we managed to do a lot of talking and sharing. I am so glad that I have found my life companion so easily. Thank God for preparing such a fine woman for me!

Why is it 5.5th? Well, that’s because we didn’t plan for this.
Our flight from Rome to Munich was delayed because of strong winds. We were waiting at the Rome airport for more than 6 hours! And of course we missed our connecting flight to Tokyo. We were made to stay overnight in Munich.
Just outside the Munich airport there was a Christmas fair. However, we have used up our Euro and hence we have no money to buy the famous German sausages
We could only smell them. We had some bigger notes but we didn’t want to break them.

We got free accommodation and dinner at the Movenpick hotel. It was a very high class hotel. We didn’t have much choice on the dinner though. We could only choose between Thai curry chicken or Spaghetti. And because we have been in Italy for 2 weeks, we had too much pasta and decided to go for the Thai chicken. Hence, we had Thai food in a Swiss hotel in Germany
And early next morning, we got onto the flight to Tokyo.
